I love using illustration to communicate. I’m a librarian by profession, living in Boulder, Colorado. My gravitation toward graphic and information design is the result of a profound respect for facts and figures. When you visually display information the right way, it should allow viewers understand complexity. Replacing standard frameworks with resonant and informative graphics is a neverending creative process I enjoy.
For the past 10 years, I’ve been immersed in philanthropy data at Foundation Center and before that, in public libraries. I wish someone had told me sooner that drawing pictures on the computer is much easier than drawing on paper. My favorite design tool is Adobe Illustrator, and I specialize in nonprofit data visualization, in mostly digital infographic format.
